Cookie Policy (Thailand)

Use of cookies and tracking technologies under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA 2019) and the Electronic Transactions Act B.E. 2544 (2001)

Last updated: 16.06.2026

This Cookie Policy explains the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies on the MiraScribe platform, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) and applicable PDPC guidance in Thailand.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an application. Similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels and local storage may be used in the same way.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

MiraScribe uses the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: essential for the platform to function, including session management, authentication and security. No consent is required.
  • Functional Cookies: MiraScribe stores your language choice so the interface is shown in the language you selected. This is set only as a result of your own choice and is treated as strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies: none. MiraScribe contains no analytics, tracking or advertising technology of any kind.
  • Third-party Cookies: Crisp (crisp.chat), which provides the in-product support chat and sets cookies to maintain the conversation.

3. Legal Basis for Cookie Processing

Under PDPA Section 19, non-essential cookies require explicit consent from the user before use.

Strictly necessary cookies are permitted under the legitimate interest basis in PDPA Section 24(5) as they are required to provide the requested service.

4. Consent Management

On your first visit to the MiraScribe platform a consent banner appears asking whether the third-party support chat may be loaded. It is the only element on the platform that requires consent. Declining does not affect any other function, and the in-application support form remains available without any third party.

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time in Settings, under Support chat. Withdrawing consent stops the support chat being loaded on subsequent page loads.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

5. Cookie Retention Periods

Session cookies: deleted automatically when the browser is closed.

Persistent cookies: the authentication cookie, which keeps you signed in for the duration of your session and its renewal period, and the language cookie, which persists until you change your language or clear your browser data. Cookies set by the support chat provider are governed by that provider's own retention periods and are only ever set if you consented.

6. Browser Settings

You may configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when cookies are sent. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may impair some MiraScribe functions.
